Yes, most of the time Wei Shifu talks English. But in some cases, when the explanation requires a lot of details, he prefers to explain in Chinese Mandarin, so the students can understand the movement correctly. In these cases, Joy, a professional translator, will make the translation to English.
Who is Joy?
Joy is a professional English translator with more than 12 years of experience translating Martial Arts classes. Also, Joy is the cofounder and manager of Qufu Shaolin Kung Fu school in China.
Do the videos have subtitles?
Yes, all the videos of the program have English subtitles. We highly recommend activating them by clicking in the "CC" in the right corner at the bottom of the video player and select "English".
Should I take this course if I'm traveling to a Kung Fu School in China?
This is a very good question. Based on our experience, we think it will be very beneficial to finish our Shaolin Kung Fu Basics program before applying to any Martial Arts School in China or Qufu School. We highly recommend it.
