Disclaimer
This Disclaimer applies to the MartialArts.Training website (“Website”) and the online martial-arts programs, training videos, written materials, communications, and related products and services made available through it (collectively, the “Services”).
MAT Martial Arts Training (“MAT”) is a DBA of Dragons Warriors LLC, a Florida limited liability company. In this Disclaimer, “MAT,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to MAT Martial Arts Training and its legal operator, Dragons Warriors LLC.
By accessing or using the Website or Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this Disclaimer. This Disclaimer should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Educational information only
The Website and Services provide general educational information and instruction concerning martial arts, fitness, strength, conditioning, flexibility, movement, meditation, QiGong, and related subjects.
The Services are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, rehabilitation, mental-health care, or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Nothing provided through the Website or Services creates a doctor-patient, therapist-patient, or other healthcare-provider relationship.
You should not disregard, delay seeking, or replace professional medical advice because of information obtained through the Website or Services.
Consulting a healthcare professional
You are responsible for determining whether you are physically and medically able to participate safely in a training program.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or modifying martial-arts or fitness training if you:
- Have an injury, illness, disability, medical condition, or history of surgery.
- Experience recurring pain, dizziness, breathing difficulty, fainting, balance problems, or another concerning symptom.
- Are pregnant or have recently given birth.
- Take medication that may affect your ability to exercise safely.
- Have been advised to limit physical activity.
- Are uncertain whether a movement or training activity is appropriate for you.
If a healthcare professional gives you restrictions or recommendations, you are responsible for following them and modifying or avoiding training activities accordingly.
Inherent risks of martial-arts training
Martial arts, fitness, conditioning, stretching, flexibility, balance, strength, partner training, weapon practice, and other physical activities involve inherent risks. These risks may include muscle strain, joint injury, falls, collisions, loss of balance, aggravation of an existing condition, property damage, serious injury, and, in rare circumstances, permanent disability or death.
These risks may exist even when instructions are followed and reasonable precautions are taken. Individual physical conditions, abilities, training environments, surfaces, equipment, and execution of techniques vary and cannot be fully evaluated or controlled by MAT through an online program.
By choosing to participate, you acknowledge these inherent risks and voluntarily accept responsibility for training within your abilities and making appropriate decisions concerning your participation.
Limitations of online instruction
Online instruction differs from supervised in-person training. Unless a specific Service expressly includes a live personal review, MAT’s instructors cannot see you while you train, evaluate your health, inspect your surroundings or equipment, physically correct your movement, or respond immediately if something goes wrong.
Demonstration of a technique does not mean that the technique is safe or appropriate for every person. You are responsible for deciding whether you have sufficient skill, physical capacity, space, equipment, assistance, and supervision to attempt a movement.
Instructor feedback, personal video reviews, or certification assessments are based only on the information and recordings submitted for review. They are not medical evaluations and cannot identify every unsafe condition, technical error, or risk.
Safe participation
When using the Services, you should:
- Begin gradually and train according to your current experience, health, and fitness level.
- Follow the instructor’s safety guidance and do not advance before you are ready.
- Use a stable, unobstructed, and appropriately sized training area.
- Wear suitable clothing, footwear, and protective equipment where appropriate.
- Inspect training equipment before use and do not use damaged or unsuitable equipment.
- Keep an appropriate distance from people, animals, furniture, windows, walls, and other hazards.
- Avoid training while impaired by alcohol, drugs, medication, exhaustion, illness, or another condition that may affect safe participation.
- Stop immediately if you experience sharp or unusual pain, dizziness, faintness, chest pain, breathing difficulty, loss of balance, numbness, or another concerning symptom.
Ordinary training discomfort and potentially harmful pain are not the same. Do not attempt to “push through” pain or concerning symptoms. If you are uncertain, stop training and consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Advanced techniques, weapons, and partner training
Movements involving weapons, contact, throws, takedowns, joint manipulation, sparring, partner drills, jumping, falling, high-impact conditioning, advanced flexibility, or acrobatics may involve additional risk.
Do not attempt these activities unless you have appropriate experience, equipment, surroundings, assistance, and qualified supervision. Training weapons should be treated as potentially dangerous and must be stored and used responsibly and in compliance with applicable law.
Never intentionally apply a martial-arts technique in a manner likely to injure another person. MAT does not encourage unlawful violence, unsafe experimentation, or use of training content for harmful or illegal purposes.
Emergency situations
The Website and Services are not emergency services and are not monitored for medical emergencies.
If you experience or observe a possible medical emergency, stop training and contact the emergency services available in your location. Do not wait for an email response, instructor reply, or customer-support response from MAT.
Minors
A participant under 18 must have authorization and appropriate supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
The parent or legal guardian is responsible for determining whether the training is suitable for the minor, obtaining any appropriate professional advice, providing a safe environment, supervising participation, and preventing the minor from attempting unsuitable techniques or using equipment or weapons without appropriate supervision.
Individual results
Training results vary between individuals. Results may depend on consistency, effort, age, health, physical condition, previous experience, available equipment, training environment, ability to understand and follow instruction, and many other factors.
MAT does not guarantee that you will achieve a particular level of skill, fitness, flexibility, strength, weight change, certification, professional opportunity, or other personal result.
Statements concerning possible benefits or results describe general information or individual experiences and should not be understood as promises that every participant will obtain the same result.
Reviews and testimonials
Reviews, testimonials, student stories, images, and demonstrations reflect the experiences and opinions of the individuals involved. Individual experiences are not necessarily typical or representative of the results another person will achieve.
Testimonials may be shortened or edited for grammar, clarity, formatting, or relevance, but we do not intend to alter their essential meaning.
When a testimonial, review, or endorsement involves compensation, free access, a discount, an affiliate relationship, or another material connection that requires disclosure, we will provide an appropriate disclosure.
Instructor and contributor views
Opinions expressed by instructors, contributors, students, interview participants, or other content creators are their own unless expressly identified as an official statement from MAT.
The inclusion of a person, school, tradition, method, product, or organization does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of every opinion, practice, representation, or activity associated with that person or organization.
Sponsorships, advertising, and affiliate relationships
The Website and Services may include sponsorships, paid placements, advertisements, affiliate links, product recommendations, or other compensated relationships.
When required, we will identify sponsored content or disclose a material relationship so that users can evaluate the recommendation appropriately. Compensation does not permit an advertiser or sponsor to require MAT to express an opinion that we do not honestly hold.
You are responsible for evaluating whether a third-party product or service is appropriate for your circumstances. Product specifications, availability, prices, claims, and safety information should be verified with the applicable manufacturer or provider.
Accuracy and completeness
We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information. However, martial-arts methods, terminology, historical interpretations, fitness guidance, technologies, services, and other information may change or may be understood differently by different instructors, lineages, professionals, or organizations.
We do not guarantee that every item of information will be complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for every individual or purpose. We may correct, update, reorganize, replace, or remove information without prior notice.
You are responsible for evaluating information before relying on it and for obtaining professional advice when appropriate.
Third-party resources
The Website and Services may contain links or references to third-party websites, products, payment providers, social networks, instructors, schools, or other resources that MAT does not own or control.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, safety, products, services, security, or practices of independent third parties. Accessing or using a third-party resource is at your discretion and may be governed by that party’s own terms and policies.
Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
Except for any express commitment or non-waivable consumer right stated in our Terms of Service or on an applicable offer page, the Website, Services, and information made available through them are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MAT disclaims warranties concerning the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, safety, suitability, or results of the Website and Services.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MAT and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, instructors, agents, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for injury, loss, damage, or other consequences arising from your failure to follow safety instructions, your use of unsuitable equipment or surroundings, participation beyond your abilities, unauthorized use of the content, or reliance on information as a substitute for appropriate professional advice.
The exclusions and limitations contained in this Disclaimer and our Terms of Service apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits a responsibility, remedy, warranty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer when our Services, training content, business practices, technologies, or legal obligations change.
When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of the Website or Services after an updated Disclaimer becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated version to the extent permitted by applicable law.
